Water play has never been as safe and fun as when kids are on SpectraPlay. As an industry leader, SpectraTurf pioneered the use of cushioned splash pads years ago – and we believe that cushioned splash pads are the ‘wave” of the future – providing better fall protection as well as longer service life than a conventional “top only” type system – Ours is a full 2” thick!
Comprised of a 1/2” layer our premium SpectraTurf rubber granules and a medium density cushion matrix, SpectraPlay is perhaps the first IPEMA-certified splash pad in existence. Using quality SpectraPour H3168 aliphatic binder throughout, SpectraPlay uses the finest materials available for this challenging application. And at a full 1/2” thickness, SpectraPlay uses fully 33% more top material than other “3/8” thick top pads!
SpectraPlay may be installed over concrete or pervious concrete sub-base. Splash pads are generally not installed over Type 2 sub-base. SpectraPlay is available in our full range of 24 colors, however we suggest that outdoor applications use lighter colors to reduce heat transfer.
