Description: Provide all necessary materials, labor, tools, and
equipment to perform the work included in the section for the installation
of the tile resilient playground surfacing. |

Quality Assurance: The installation of the tile product shall be
completed by Manufacturer Certified Contractors or by direct employees
of the Manufacturer's Installation Division. Manufacturer's detailed
installation procedures shall be submitted to the Architect and
made a part of the Bid Specifications. |

ASTM F1292-99 Impact Attenuation Test Certification for the tile
product to be installed in compliance with the Critical Fall Height
as determined by the Playground Equipment to be installed over the

| PART
3 - PRODUCTS |
| 3.1 |
Product: SpectraBound™ Tile or approved equal. |
| 3.2 |
Description: An amalgam of recycled rubber crumb in a polyurethane
binder molded into 2' x 2' tiles. Each tile shall have a solid upper
horizontal surface and an engineered understructure of circular
or square pillars. The tiles are installed with a single part adhesive. |

Materials: The tiles shall be manufactured from recycled rubber
crumb compounds vulcanized and molded at high pressure and temperature.
All components of the tile system are certified to be manufactured
and produced in the United States of America. 100% of the rubber
crumb shall be derived from recycled tires. A granular EPDM top
surface is optional. |

The thickness is 2.50", 3.50" or 4.00" in 2' x 2' center tiles.
Edge borders, inside and outside corners, ADA ramps & aprons are
available. The specified thickness shall be determined by the Critical
Fall Height requirements of the playground equipment, the Consumer
Product Safety Commission's Guidelines for Public Playgrounds and
ASTM F1292-99 test criteria. |

Finish Texture: Pebble grain. |

Colors: Red, Black, Green, Blue or special mix (minimum 2,500 square
feet). Optional EPDM top color. Choice by owner to be determined
prior to bid. |
