SpectraBound safety tiles provide a modular approach to playground surfacing. Comprised of recycled tire rubber, SpectraBound safety tiles are both eco-friendly as well as. SpectraBound come in a 24” x 24” size, and thicknesses to meet ASTM F1292 for 6, 8, and 10 fall heights. SpectraBound is IPEMA-certified and come in the following top designs:
Pigmented tops – 6’, 8’ and 10’ versions available – Pigmented tops use a colorful pigmented polyurethane binder to adhere rubber particles together. Pigmented tops comprise the majority of tile projects, and are available in four basic colors – red, blue, green and black. Grey, brown and beige available at special request.
EPDM granule topped - 6’, 8’ and 10’ versions available – EPDM tops feature any of our 24 Spectra EPDM colors, custom-molded into the playground safety tile. The Spectra EPDM allows an endless amount of color possibilities, and may even be blended to match our SpectraPour or SpectraPour CA play surfacing systems (not SpectraPour Supreme which uses a different granule type). EPDM topped tiles have the appearance of poured in place, but come in a pre-molded tile unit.
Ultra Tops – 6’, and 8’ versions available – Ultra tiles feature a super high-density 3 mm layer of Spectra EPDM granule sheeting molded directly into the tile. Ultra tops come in 14 colors mixes and black, and are the highest density top layer available.
